Sugarhouse: Cake Review

Last saturday(July 11), we bought a cake at Sugarhouse, Alabang Town Center  for 600 pesos.  The cake’s name is Black Magic. It was a good looking cake but it is very disappointing. The chiffon cake is very dry like an ordinary cake that can be bought in the streets. It is nowhere near Red ribbon cakes or Conti’s cakes. … should have never bought the cake :(

Worst Credit Card

Union Bank Visa Card

Why?

- because you can’t even contact their customer service center(for card activation/inquiries/requests etc.). i tried calling their customer service hotline everyday for 2 weeks and i couldn’t even get through their line.  it is a 24-hour service line so i tried calling in the morning, then in the afternoon, at night … in my desperation i tried calling in the wee hours of the morning hahaha and what did i get? nothing.. i’m so disappointed. what’s worst if that they have another option -> you can email them at customer.service@unionbankph.com. this too is useless, coz’ even if you email them you get no response at all. out of the many dialing attempts, i only had 2 successful connections.  these 2 are as follows:

1)  purpose: request for card activation -> response: can’t activate, computer/machine is down (CSR)

2)  purpose: request for card activation -> response: card activated

- this is what i got from entertaining credit card agents via telephone. they will process your application hassle free. you just need to wait for your card to be delivered. :(

- i’m going to close this account in a few days.

After weeks of overtime, we’d be able to take a break. \(^ ^)/ We spent our Holy Week Break at the office so you could just imagine how tired we are. But starting tomorrow we’d be able to take a rest. We’re off to Puerto Galera for a 3-day break. I’m so excited… o(^^o)(o^^)o わくわく…beach … beach … beach… yey!

feelings…

when i’m sad, i like to pout
feels like there’s a hole in my heart,
i don’t want to eat, i can’t sleep,
leave me alone coz i’m thinking deep.

when i’m happy, i like to smile
so ecstatic, i could run around an isle,
i want to celebrate, i want to sing,
let’s eat out or maybe go bowling.

there are times when i’m neither,
of things around me, i don’t even bother,
‘coz it’s just an ordinary day,
when i’m not feeling blue or gay.

i want to pick just one,
but i know it can’t be done,
to always be happy is impossible,
to always be sad is unthinkable. =)

the sweetest thing …

my hubs (…that’s how I call my boyfriend) always sings me to sleep, but right now he can’t do that coz he’s been having a cough that won’t stop. i guess it’s been a week now… an alternative to that was reading short stories hahaha.. funny though coz when I wake up I can’t recall what he read to me.. lucky for him — coz he doesn’t need to spend long hours of reading before I finally get to sleep… i really appreciate what my hubs has been doing for me. he helped in putting me to bed early. now, I don’t need to resort to watching movies until dawn so as to tire my eyes/ myself. thank you hubs! mwaaaah! love yah! >:D<

Sukiyaki

For 2 days now, I have been treated to dinner. The first was dining at a yakiniku (grilled meat) shop because my friend was celebrating his birthday. The next was at a simple treat at a sukiyaki shop. I had experienced the best and most expensive treat so far in my entire life. Have you ever eaten sukiyaki for 4000 yen per person per set? We ate 2 sets and there are 3 of us. The set contained a plate of meat slices and a plate full of veggies. The quantity of food is not that much. It is just good for 3 persons. Imagine the shock I got when I learned it costs us 25, 500 yen including drinks, because we thought that we ordered a sukiyaki tabehodai (an all-you-can-eat meal). We only learned later that what we ordered was not included in the tabehodai menu… Well it was a nice experience but it was really expensive. We wanted to pay the one who treated us to dinner but he refused. He was also shocked but oh well… charge it to experience. We learned our lesson. Read the menu carefully! But no kidding.. the food was really oishii! umai! (delisios0!)=)

ufo catcher …

cimg2448.jpg

While i was wondering on what topic to write on, I noticed that I never wrote an entry with regard to my blog site name[ufocatchergirl]. I got it from my friends after posing the question “what words/characteristics describe me the most?”. It sounds so childish but it’s true. I am a certified UFO catcher girl. I often hang out at places where you can find toy crane machines or claw vending machines. Here in Japan, crane games are often called UFO(pronounced as yu-fo-) catchers. UFO as we all know it means “unidentified flying object”. I don’t know why they called it as such. I couldn’t even relate the game to UFO’s. (hahaha.. kankeinai to omou). Eversince I started playing the crane game, I have collected more than 50 plush toys. At first I was having a problem on how I could get them home(Philippines), but thanks to the balikbayan boxes I ordered, I was able to ship all of my stuff. I have collected pillows, keychains and lots of ufo catcher dolls(term used for the UFO catcher prizes) which includes mickey and minnie, donald and daisy, care bears, pooh and friends, pink panther, snoopy and a lot more.. Not once did I get tired of it. Although it is a bit too expensive for a hobby. As I always say “If it makes you happy and takes your stress away, do it. What is 5000 yen, if it will give you a moment of happiness. ” :D

a poem..

I made this poem a few years or months back.. i think.. ;) ) It’s not very good though… Nowadays I feel like I’m into writing that is why I’m entertaining the thought that maybe… just maybe I could become a good writer … wink*

silently in love

someone’s staring at me
somehow i can sense it’s you
raised my head and turned to see
caught your eyes and bow you do.

a stranger you are to me
only know what you tell me
and those things that i can see
do fill my curiosity.

from my place is a clear view
steal a glimpse of you, i do
why i do that…got no clue
just glad at the sight of you.

silence between you and me
makes me think of what could be
ah!…but it’s just me wishing
while away you are drifting.

Thank God! I have been shaken
from this dream, i have awaken
just leave those words unspoken
’cause WE will never happen.

my first post…

It’s a Saturday and I am at the office. I have a long list of tasks to do but I am not in the mood to do work. So I thought of doing something to pass the time… And here it is — my first web log and post. I could get fired for doing this hahahaha… oh well.. I love my job! Don’t get me wrong but then there are times when you really can’t concentrate on the things you ought to be doing. ^o^
